OVERNIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING: A storm system will swing through NW Indiana overnight into the early morning hours Saturday bringing a general light to moderate snow through morning. Overall accumulations will range from an inch or two at best. Wow! What a stretch of beautiful weather to begin the month of December! We’re on borrowed time here in NW Indiana as Mother Nature is about to flip a big switch. IT MUST BE FALL IN NWI: TEMP SWINGS GALORE After our first TRUE blast of fall-like air, we’ll have a brief “warm-up” tomorrow as a strong storm system develops in Minnesota. THE LATEST NUMBERS ON THE HEAT: As of Saturday night, we’ve officially set a new record high in Valparaiso 4 days in a row and we’ve set a record high 7 out of the last 9 days. This includes a high temperature of 95 degrees the last two days! Keep in mind, records in Valparaiso officially began in 1997, but it’s still an impressive streak! Saturday Evening Irma Update

Irma is expected to make the turn to the northwest and then north as it heads towards the west coast of Florida. Some strengthening is expected as she heads over open water for a brief period of time overnight.
