OVERNIGHT LAKE SNOW UPDATE:

Lake effect snow showers continue to fill in across the region ranging from light snow in Lake County to light snow with on and off bursts of moderate snow in Porter, Starke, and especially LaPorte County.

That heavy band of lake effect snow has developed in Michigan as we chatted about during our Region Weather LIVE and it’s making its way through South Bend producing a narrow band of near whiteout conditions.

I’m expecting it to work it’s way westward, albeit slowly, and we’ll likely see impacts on our morning rush in LaPorte County and perhaps eastern Porter depending on how far west the band of snow can shift.
