Our arctic front is through the Region. Gusty winds and falling temps will be the story the rest of the day, eventually kicking off lake effect snow later this afternoon in southwest lower Michigan. We’ll watch these lake effect bands begin to build into LaPorte County and then Porter and Starke Counties thereafter. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for those locations (minus Starke) in anticipation of the lake effect snow through Thursday.

We’ll have an update on lake effect snow later today on our Region Weather LIVE broadcast.
