OVERNIGHT LAKE SNOW UPDATE: Lake effect snow showers continue to fill in across the region ranging from light snow in Lake County to light snow with on and off bursts of moderate snow in Porter, Starke, and especially LaPorte County. That heavy band of lake effect snow has developed in Michigan as we chatted about during our Region Weather LIVE and it’s making its way through South Bend producing a narrow band of near whiteout conditions. Storms Possible Tonight

STORMS POSSIBLE TONIGHT: A warm front will make its way north into the Region later today into tonight bringing the threat for showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be on the strong side. While we’re not expecting widespread activity, the storms that do get going will likely develop after 11pm into the overnight hours with the primary threat being brief heavy rain, hail, and frequent lightning.
