HOT & HUMID, MORE STORMS
The thick, tropical humidity is back and combined with the heat, we’ll ignite another round of storms later today into tonight. Our soaking storms from last night have moved east, but continue to “back-build” from Plymouth to Fort Wayne. We may see a few cells move west into Starke County this morning, otherwise our attention turns towards the heat and humidity.
Temps will surge into the upper 80s and low 90s across the Region and combined with the tropical dewpoints, we’ll feel more like 100 in spots this afternoon.
Another round of storms are expected to develop later this afternoon into the evening bringing the threat for severe weather and some localized flooding potential depending on where they set up.
Another important note is the temp drop that’s expected late this afternoon and evening, especially along our lakeshore counties. A frontal boundary will sink south off the lake taking our temps from the 90s into the 70s in a matter of minutes with a simple wind shift. Lots of keep track of today–we’re with you all day to keep you up on the latest!
