Lake effect snow will be the main story for us in the Region the next 3 days as we reside on the back side of a large storm system that will head up the Ohio Valley into the northeastern US. We’ll begin as a rain/snow mix Sunday night before quickly turning over to all snow as colder air filters in by Monday morning. The heaviest snows look to target La Porte and even eastern Porter County, but Lake, Newton, Jasper counties will get into the mix with some accumulating snow as well.
Colder air will keep the lake snows going Tuesday into Tuesday night before the entire flow turns more westerly, helping to end our lake snow event. We’ll chat accumulations and the latest update on a Facebook Live Sunday evening.
