Strong winds over the entire length of Lake Michigan will cause a rapid rise in wave heights tonight with lakeshore flooding becoming an issue by morning.
Winds will gust 35-50 mph over the lake causing waves to increase to 12-17 feet! The highest waves will be Monday-early Tuesday before a shift in the winds will help waves to subside into Tuesday afternoon.
Our traditional flood-prone areas along the lake will be affected by this event.
