Flood Watches continue for the Region in advance of this large winter storm that will impact the eastern half of the United States Friday-Sunday. We’re on the “warm” side of this one with waves of rainfall, heavy at times, expected Friday-Saturday night. Colder air will move in during the day Saturday, but won’t be cold enough to change things over to snow until late Saturday night into Sunday morning. We’re not expected much in terms of accumulation. The big story will be the rain and strong winds. 2-4 inches of rain is possible with higher amounts in spots with winds gusting over 40 mph at times as this storm moves through.
