Winds gusted over 60 mph Wednesday as a powerful low pressure system blew through (literally) the Region. Our top wind gusts came out of Porter County with Valparaiso measuring a 66 mph wind at the airport! The wind knocked down branches and powerlines leaving many in the Region without power. As of Thursday morning, the majority of Region residents have had power restored as winds continue to subside.
