HAPPY HALLOWEEN?
A mix of rain and snow is moving back into NWI this morning as the back side of this strong storm system will move through the Region. Temps will continue to drop with rain mixing with and then changing over to wet snow from west to east. A slushy accumulation is possible, mainly in Lake County by evening as temps drop below freezing. The WIND will be a big story as it howls like a werewolf with gusts well over 40 mph possible early this afternoon through early evening. The good news in our Mark Myszkowski State Farm Insurance Agency forecast is that we’ll begin to clear out later this evening as this system moves east! However, it will leave us with a cold night as a widespread hard freeze is likely.
