Temps have been below average the last few days, although the sunshine we’ve seen from time to time definitely makes a difference! We’ll see slightly warmer temps the next few days before a cold front clips the Region on Friday bringing a brief set back to our warming trend. Let’s take a look at the maps.
A weak system will head through Wednesday with showers–perhaps briefly mixing with some flakes when it begins early Wednesday morning:
By Friday, this system ramps up the east coast as a fairly strong low pressure system! This low will head into southern Canada and will trigger another low (and attached cold front) that brings a brief dose of colder air down in the US. The result will be shot of colder air that puts a damper on any warming trend in NWI. Look at the snow and north wind just east of us! Yuck!
Our temps will remain near average–but mild!–the next two days before our Friday set back. All signs right now point towards a nice, spring-like end to the weekend and start to next week, but time will tell!
