ACTIVE SEVERE WEATHER SEASON SO FAR

If you think it’s been quite the severe weather season so far–you’re right. Take a look at the tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings issued by our local NWS office so far this year. We’ve had more tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings issued this year than any other year on record to this point dating back to the 1980s! We are FAR above any other year at this point. Our most active year was 2006 and we’re almost halfway to the entire 2006 total with 8 months to go. Yikes!
