An area of low pressure will pass to our south today with an area of rain on the northern side of the system that looks to clip our southern counties at best. For the rest of us we’ll notice temps sliding back today and eventually we’ll develop some lake effect rain and snow showers as the low heads east. The lake effect will change to all snow showers tonight into Friday before quickly coming to an end as high pressure takes over Friday night. We’re not looking at a big lake effect event by any means, but some of the more organized lake effect bands could produce a few 1-3 inch spots around the Region through Friday–but it’s January so we’ll get through it! 😜
