Friday night update:

Showers and heavy rain-producing storms continue to align over Newton and Jasper counties with a slight push north as expected over the last hour. Rotation has broadened out with the storms to our west but damaging winds are still occurring on the Illinois side of things. For us, we’ll continue to see downpours move in and we’re not out of the woods in terms of a severe threat quite yet. I continued to be more concerned with the localized (not everyone) flood potential overnight where persistent rains set up.
