An area of low pressure will rapidly strengthen this evening as it moves through the Region resulting in a large area of strong, gusty winds.
These winds will develop this evening and continue through the early morning hours Friday with gusts over 50 mph possible–especially along the lakeshore where lakeshore flooding is likely as waves surpass 10 feet at times.
The wind will initially be out of the northeast but will transition to the north and then northwest into Friday morning before quickly subsiding Friday during the day. We’ll also have rain from this system as we discussed yesterday.
