The Month Ahead: Get To Know August Weather-wise

Let’s get to know the month of August weather-wise! Here’s what we have in terms of averages from start to finish. Our average high doesn’t drop much–we know it can be a pretty hot month around the Region! We average 3 to 4 90 degree days–we’ve had more, but that’s the 10 year average. August can be a pretty rainy month with slow-moving thunderstorms at times (as we’ve seen already). And in terms of daylight, we’re losing it fast. We lose over an hour of daylight by month’s end–this is the first month we typically notice the daylight loss with our later sunrises and earlier sunsets. Still lots of summer to go!
