IMPROVING AIR QUALITY TODAY

Not only is it Friday, but we may also be able to breathe again this afternoon! The outdoors! Our latest round of wildfire smoke will begin pushing out this morning as a southwest flow takes over. This will push the smoke out of the state later today into tonight, but we’ll replace the smoke with pop-up storm chances.

Looking ahead, a cold front will bring this smoke back into the Region Sunday into Monday, although it likely won’t be as concentrated. If these fires don’t get put out next week we’d have another round later in the week. We’ll focus on the improvement today first and foremost!
