SEVERE T’STORM WATCH
Well, these storms are drawing their energy from the book “The Little Engine That Could” as they just keep on keeping on. Yes, we’ve had our scattered storms as expected, but a bigger cluster of storms continues to head southeast towards the Region through Chicago as of 7:30pm CT. These storms are producing strong, potentially damaging winds as well as quarter-sized hail and they’re heading towards Lake and Porter counties where a brand new Severe T’Storm Watch has been issued.
The expectation is that these storms will begin to fade after sunset, but they’ll still pack a punch as they move through. Storms and leftover showers will gradually diminish overnight as they lose their energy from the daytime heating–but these certainly have overachieved so far!
