A lot of fathers will be looking out from the garage this afternoon, nodding, saying “we need this” as they look at the rain falling over their lawns. Well, maybe not the “we need this” part…
Happy Father’s Day to all of our Region dads! We have a SOAKING rain on the way as we’ll reside on the northern side of a large complex of storms associated with an area of low pressure. We’re not looking at a severe weather threat from this–that will be in central and southern Indiana–but we are looking at quite a bit of rain. Don’t look at exact numbers by location on the latest run, look at trends. Anywhere from 1-2 inches of rain is possible depending on where some of the heavier banding sets up.

In terms of timing, the rain will move in late this morning into the midday hours and will continue for much of the afternoon into the evening. Rain will linger overnight into the morning rush tomorrow before this entire system finally pushes out. Temps will push 70 early today before steadily falling back through the 60s as the rain-cooled air moves in.
