Monday Morning Storm Update

MONDAY MORNING STORM UPDATE

Good Monday morning everyone! We’ll be providing updates throughout the day as our severe weather threat unfolds, but much like we talked about last night, this giant complex of storms to our south will play a role in diminishing our chance at a BIG threat for severe storms. Still, with our atmosphere in place and a strong jet overhead, we’ll have to keep an eye out for any “sneaky” storms today. That being said, the setup this morning features a large complex of storms to our south. We’ll end up getting rain off of it and we may develop an area of strong, gusty, non-thunderstorm winds on the northern side of this complex midday-afternoon–a feature we need to watch. Outside of that, our severe threat remains low with this first round, but it bears watching. We would then await any redevelopment with the actual front to our west this afternoon and evening. If this morning round sticks around through early afternoon–this would continue to limit our threat for anything big locally (which we want). We’ll keep tabs on it and will have updates as we go throughout the day.
