Arctic Air, Then REAL Arctic Air Next Week: Your 7 Day Forecast

A weak system will slip through the Region overnight into early Tuesday morning bringing an area of snow showers through–but accumulations look minor. We could have a few slick spots for that morning commute, so just a heads up!

Beyond that we moderate our temps after two frigid days. We’ll be back into the 30s Thursday and Friday. This weekend gets interesting as some model guidance has been hinting at some kind of winter storm development, but we’re not jumping on board yet. This will all be driven by an incredibly large and incredibly cold air mass direct from the North Pole that will be diving into the northern Plains by the weekend. This blast of arctic air will be massive and will take up the entire eastern 3/4 of the US next week! For now, we’ll paint the weekend with some lake snow chances as the cold air dives in with a few additional snow chances through the beginning of next week–but we don’t have any major snowstorms in our forecast…for now. The cold air will be the biggest issue for us locally.

Stay tuned!
