Storms are expected to rapidly develop along and ahead of a frontal boundary that will work into northern Illinois early this afternoon. These storms will develop and head east-southeast into the Region late this afternoon through this evening. The threat for damaging winds is pretty high with these today in addition to heavy rain and isolated tornadoes. We’ll bring you updates as needed today!
