You can feel the humidity outside that has really ramped up as expected over the last 24 hours! This is in response to an area of low pressure pulling in lots of deep, tropical moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Daytime heating has helped pop a few downpours as of early this afternoon, but our severe threat would be focused more on late afternoon into the evening hours. We’ll be watching the storms developing downstate as those will have some time to strengthen before reaching the Region. Primary threats would be strong winds and hail, but isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out later today. We’ll keep you updated as we go throughout the afternoon and evening as always.
