A compact, but potent low pressure system will swirl through the Region Saturday morning bringing a round of rain and wet snow through northern Illinois and northwest Indiana. Temperature profiles will be right on the border line of rain versus wet snow and we could see brief heavy wet snow if temps line up right Saturday morning. Any slushy accumulation would quickly melt by afternoon as temps rise into the 40s to near 50 south. We’ll keep an eye on this system and will pass along any updates as needed!
