Thundersnow! That’s right. It’s been occurring in a narrow line of heavy snow moving southeast along our anticipated arctic front this evening.
This brief burst of snow is moving through Rockford as of 8:30pm and will likely cross the Illinois/Indiana state-line sometime around 11:15pm. If this holds together (which it should), we’ll likely see a quick hit of heavy snow and wind followed by that sharp temp drop we discussed yesterday.
Roads will likely become snow covered as this moves through the Region from northwest to southeast from 11:15 ish through the 1am hour. We’ll keep you updated!
