Rain will change over to a wet snow overnight and that snow will ramp up in intensity towards morning. Snow will then continue, heavy at times, through early afternoon Wednesday before becoming a bit lighter and thinning out later in the day.
Snowfall totals look to be impressive (but not surprising because you’ve joined us for the last week’s worth of Region Weather LIVE broadcasts) We’re calling for a widespread 10-18 inches for everyone in NWI by the time Wednesday night rolls around. We’ll then turn our attention towards a second wave of low pressure that may bring additional snow to the Region, but as of now the bulk of that looks to be to our south with Newton, Jasper, and Starke counties picking up several additional inches at best.
By Thursday night, our southern counties could see storm totals in the 14-22 inch range. We’ll have updates as we go throughout the event–stay safe and stay home Wednesday everyone!
