As a winter storm moves through the southern US and then up the spine of the Appalachian Mountains bringing heavy snow and wind to the northeastern US, we’ll settle under high pressure and reap the benefits of a quiet January weather pattern.
Skies will gradually clear Saturday leading to a cold Saturday night/Sunday morning. Lows in outlying locations could drop into the single digits. We’ll start sunny on Sunday but clouds will move back in from the northwest with another push of colder air. We could see a few flurries or snow showers late in the day with highs in the low 30s.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
