The next 7-10 days will remain on the cool side compared to average as our upper level flow comes out of Canada. We’re not alone! The majority of the eastern US will have temps more reminiscent of February as this cool air will move all the way into the southern US.

We’ll also run the risk of some wet snow next week with a stout cold front Tuesday into Wednesday:

There are some signs that we break this pattern and head back to the warmth to begin May, but time will tell! In the meantime, look at the persistent flow of cold air from the north with several sharp cold fronts sweeping through the eastern US:
