A strong cold front will move through the Region this afternoon with a quick-hit of rain, gusty winds, and falling temps later today. The front will move through the Region between 2-4pm from west to east and as it does, strong winds will develop and temps will drop a good 10-15 degrees quickly. It’s that time of year for these quick weather changes!
Here’s what we’re expecting the radar to look like this afternoon as the line of rain pushes through northwest Indiana:

And finally the winds as we mentioned will turn quite gusty when the rain moves in and after the rain moves out. That cooler air has to get here somehow and the wind is what makes it happen. Gusts over 35 mph at possible.
