The western wildfires continue to rage on. Periodically, the jetstream (the flow of wind in the mid to upper levels of the atmosphere) can bring that smoke all the way to us in the Region! That will be the case this week as we’ll likely see a “milky” sky from time-to-time, especially around sunset. Below is the the wildfire smoke forecast for the week. A light purple shade is enough for that milky look to the sky–the brightest colors are a much thicker concentration which should avoid NW Indiana:
