A large complex of showers and storms this morning will continue to slide into the Region bringing a round of moderate to heavy rain for some of us in addition to a few rumbles. In terms of severe weather, we’re not expecting anything this morning as the bulk of the energy with this complex will pass to our southwest.

Conditions will likely quiet down a bit this afternoon with lingering rain and rumbles fading. We could see some redevelopment of storms along a cold front late today into tonight and some of those storms could be on the strong side if they develop.
As always the case with a morning round of rain–will the atmosphere have enough time to destabilize again this afternoon to help create a new round of storms? Here’s the potential redevelopment along that front this evening into tonight:
