After a rainy overnight, we’ll experience a nice break in the rainfall as this large storm system spins up rain to our east and heavy snow to our west. Another wave of rainfall is developing near Arkansas (as of this writing midday Sunday) and will move northeast and through the Region later today into tonight and early Monday morning. We’ll likely see pockets of heavier rainfall as it moves through.

Behind this system, we turn colder Monday with rain changing to snow before becoming more scattered in nature later in the day into Monday night. We’ll likely see some light snow accumulations before all is said and done.

Here’s a look at the rain that moved through and the next wave of rain developing well to our south as the snow and cold air swirl around on the back side of the storm:
