Strong Winds Likely Tue Night-Wed Night

Our well-advertised storm system will not only bring several rounds of rain through the Region, but as the low pressure deepens, the winds will become quite strong. We’ll likely see gusts in the 40-50 mph range Wednesday morning through the afternoon before they gradually subside into Thanksgiving day. Take a look at some of the potential wind gusts:

Wednesday morning:

wedmorning

Wednesday midday:

wedmidday

Wednesday afternoon:

wedafternoon

Wednesday evening:

wednight

This will very likely cause issues with airport delays across a good portion of the Great Lakes and the northeastern US as this system departs. In addition to the rain on the front side and heavy snow on the back side of this storm, I think the WIND will be the big issue and cause for airline delays during one of the busiest travel days of the year.
