Area rivers and streams are either in flood stage, or about to be in flood stage over the next few days as the rain continues to fall across NWI. Here’s a list of the latest river stages and expected water level forecasts over the next few days:
A sharp cold front already moved through the Region and these temps will continue to drop. Look at the difference this evening between areas ahead of the front and behind the front–quite an incredible airmass change!
Despite the fact that the front has moved through, we’ll continue to see moderate rainfall through the rest of the evening. Our constant stream of moisture is slowly drifting southeast, but will last through the early morning hours Wednesday. We may see a brief period of wintry mix on the back end of this precip.
A much needed period of quiet weather is expected later Wednesday through Thursday before another system approaches late week. We’ll have the latest on this in our next update.
