Hottest Temps of the Year Expected Friday and Saturday

A large dome of heat will set up shop over the Great Lakes over the next few days bringing us our hottest temps in 2019 so far. High temps will likely reach into the mid and upper 90s with heat indices climbing into the 105-115 range at times. We’ll have to keep our eye on a few larger clusters of storms that are expected to develop along the ridge of heat. While likely locations are north of us, there is a chance this boundary could push just a tad south which would bring storms to the Region, especially Thursday.

Thankfully this heat wave will be relatively short-lived as a cold front moves through Sunday bringing more manageable air back to the Region.
