QUIET DAY UNTIL LATE AFTERNOON/EVENING
Today’s the day to put up the weather antennas and pay attention. Fog and cold air will roll off the lake into our northern counties today bringing temps from the 60s into the 40s for much of the day. Meanwhile our southern counties will get into the 70s with humidity today.

This boundary will serve a key roll in our storms this evening. Our severe weather threat ramps up later this afternoon but especially looks to get going this evening with explosive thunderstorm development expected at some point after 5pm. These storms will get going quickly with all modes of severe weather (hail, strong wind, tornado) possible as they move east, northeast. As we’ve discussed in detail in our broadcasts the last two nights, a front will drop south off the lake today bringing fog, cold air, and drizzle to our northern counties for much of the day–this boundary will bounce back north a good 10-20 miles later this evening when these storms develop and it may serve as a focus for some of the strongest storms. All details aside, just be ready for some volatile weather later today with more waves of heavy rain overnight into tomorrow morning before colder air blows in.
We’ll have updates throughout the day and evening as you’d expect!

Thank you!
