5:30 PM Severe Weather Update

Heads up! A Severe T’Storm Watch will likely be issued for our northern counties who aren’t currently under the Tornado Watch.

Additional storms now getting going as the better dynamics enter the scene to our west. In our immediate future, we’re tracking these supercells that have developed just to our west in Illinois. They will likely push east, northeast towards the Region and should follow that frontal boundary (we’ve talked about way too much the last few days). These storms WOULD pose a tornado risk for Newton and Jasper counties at present track. For all of our folks in the northern counties (Lake, Porter, and LaPorte) hail would be a high probability with these storms–get that car in the garage now.

We’re shifting on over to our YouTube Channel and Facebook Page for LIVE coverage here in a bit–so these will be the last updates you’re getting regarding the storms via email. Please make sure you’re connected with us on our pages for coverage. Stay safe everyone!
