Another Round of Storms On The Way

ANOTHER ROUND OF STORMS TONIGHT

Good Friday evening everyone! If you’ve been tracking our storm updates on our Facebook Page, you know we’re in a nice break right now. We’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding our overnight activity so wanted to send a note to everyone regarding our next round of storms. The low pressure and associated cold front are still well to our west and our atmosphere has been able to rebound a bit here in the Region. Storms are on-going across Missouri and Iowa as of this update and they’ll gradually transition north and east towards the Region. I am NOT overly concerned with a severe threat from this round given the timing (early morning into breakfast time) and the energy associated with this push once it arrives. We’ll likely have downpours, some more lightning, and a few pockets of stronger winds, but I’m not impressed with our set up overnight into the morning. Cooler air moves in for the rest of our Saturday before temps begin to build again as we head into next week with more storm chances.
