Happy NYE everyone! Whether you’re heading to the Pierogi Drop, or a ball drop here in the Region, we’ll have some snow flying around as our second clipper system in as many days moves through. Expect snow showers to develop late this morning through early afternoon as our system moves in from the northwest. We could see some rain mixing in at first the further south you’re located, but as cold air takes over, we’ll all experience snow as we’re getting set for our NYE plans. Snow showers will continue through our evening with a potential quick burst of heavier snow as a cold front moves through sometime between 5-8pm. We’re not expecting a lot of snow from this one either, but 1-2 inches looks common by the time 2026 hits. As we learned last evening, it doesn’t take much for roads to become slick if they’re untreated, so take it easy if you’re driving tonight. Also of note, our temps will drop pretty quickly behind this front. We’ll reach the low 30s during the afternoon before we quickly drop through the 20s into the 10s this evening into the overnight.
