BIG TEMP DROP TODAY
Our cold front is coming. (cue scary music) Rain will continue on and off this morning before a line of heavy rain surges through the Region from west to east with the actual front. We’re expecting this to move through anytime between 1-3pm. Once this hits, temps will start their freefall with a few snow showers the rest of the day. Winds will remain strong and the temps will continue to fall until they reach the low 10s tonight. The crucial question is when do we hit the freezing mark and start to ice up any of the leftover standing water–we’re thinking sometime around just after the evening rush hour…so if you’re out traveling late this evening into the overnight, we’ll likely develop some icy spots! Snow won’t be a big issue with this, but a fresh coating is possible by evening.
