As always at the beginning of the month, we like to get to know where we are…and where we’re going climatologically. We know it cools down in September with our average highs and lows dropping a little less than 10 degrees. We get some rainfall in the month of September although dry spells are common with a continued relaxed pattern at times. The most noticeable feature during the month is that loss of daylight–this is the month you notice the shorter days. In addition to the cooler nights and warm days–the loss of daylight helps trigger our trees to produce those beautiful colors.
