Lake Michigan is disturbed this morning as our refreshing north wind is kicking up 4-7 foot waves. This trend will continue today behind yesterday’s cold front with wave heights expected to remain high through Friday morning. These high waves in addition to the northerly wind will also create a high rip current risk–so not the day to go in the water. Even experienced swimmers will have problems in the water today. Better beach days are ahead so just avoid the water today and we’ll get back to a calmer lake over the upcoming days!
