Things are coming together this afternoon to support some explosive thunderstorms to our west that would likely move through the Region later this evening (after 4:30pm CT). Our atmosphere is off-the-charts unstable as expected and these storms will have plenty of fuel to grow quickly. Damaging winds, very large hail, very heavy rain, and a few tornadoes can’t be ruled out with this quick hit of storms later today. While it’s still not a guarantee that storms fire this far south–model guidance and a look at the current satellite continues to point more towards the fact that we WILL have powerful storms that roll through.
We’ll keep you updated and plan on going LIVE on our Facebook Page when and if these storms develop.
