THE BIG PICTURE
Good Saturday morning everyone! I hope you got some sleep after last night’s round of storms. We’re enjoying bright sunshine as expected this morning as we’re currently in the “dry slot” of this entire system. Winds will once again be strong today with gusts over 40 mph likely. Stronger gusts are possible but an interesting note–the dust particles in the air we talked about in our broadcast last night will actually help to limit our heating by a few degrees today, so the REAL strong wind gusts may remain elevated instead of mixing down to the surface…either way it’s still going to be windy. Rain and clouds move back in later today off of the severe weather that is expected in the Tennessee and Mississippi valleys. Then tomorrow our temps drop and a round of showers that change to snow showers will move through reminding us that it’s still Winter. Winds will begin to relax tomorrow, especially later in the day.
