We continue to keep a close eye on the potential for strong to severe storms late Friday in the Region as a powerful storm system moves into the Midwest. We’re still expecting a line of severe storms to rapidly develop from Missouri down through Arkansas Friday afternoon and quickly move east-northeast Friday evening. These storms will be severe to our west, but the big question is–how far east do they make it? We’ll have a better idea over the next 24 hours, but we have a good chance that these storms would be capable of producing some wind damage locally if they hold together with a powerful jetstream up above us and already gusty surface winds expected.
