FRIDAY SNOW ON THE WAY
The good news? Tomorrow’s Friday. The not-so-good news? Winter isn’t quite done. Our next storm system will zip through the Ohio Valley on Friday riding a stout temperature difference with 60s downstate and 30s here in the Region. We’re still expecting a narrow band of snow to develop on the northside of this system stretching from Nebraska through Ohio. Snow should develop around or just before that morning commute tomorrow and continue rather steady at times throughout the day. With temps right on the borderline between rain and snow, we’re expecting this to be a wet snow and it will likely mix with rain at times the further south you’re located. Daytime temps will be above freezing, so road treatment will work just fine. Grassy and elevated surfaces will see the accumulation where the snow persists with a slush expected on untreated roads as we go throughout the day. We’ll keep you updated as needed!
