SCATTERED SNOW TONIGHT
Good Wednesday evening everyone–wanted to get you some info before you head to bed. A widespread area of very light snow will continue to work through the Region this evening into the overnight in response to a weak disturbance moving through aloft. This system will reinforce the cold air–basically not allowing us to warm up very quickly the next two days. We’re not expecting much snow from this–but a coating is possible if you parked the car outside. The other thing this system will do is reignite the lake effect snow machine with snows expected to crank up a bit tonight and tomorrow across southwest lower Michigan and portions of LaPorte County heading over towards South Bend. We’ve had problems on the Tollroad and 94 into Michigan the last few days and tonight and tomorrow will continue to be tricky out east. We’re expecting anywhere from 2-4 inches in northern and northeastern LaPorte County by this time tomorrow with higher amounts in St. Joseph County and into Michigan.
