After our ice today, we’ll need to start talking about the potential for some actual snow around here. And we may get a GOOD dose of snow with our first potential winter storm of the season locally. Models continue to come in good agreement with a secondary area of low pressure along a frontal boundary this week that moves up through the Ohio Valley. With plenty of moisture in place, there will be quite the snow event on the backside of this low. Brand new 12z data is in this Saturday afternoon and it continues to paint a healthy accumulating snow across the Region moving in Wednesday with heavy snow Wednesday night into early Thursday before ending later in the day. Preliminary numbers now are well over a half foot with some pushing totals over a foot in spots. It’s early on the totals and path of this thing–but we’ve seen enough consistency that we’ll start the chatter around it. Let’s discuss more in detail in our Region Weather LIVE Sunday evening!
