Next Winter Storm: Widespread Snow-maker

ANOTHER WINTER STORM

Our next winter storm across the eastern US will begin to develop later today into tonight across portions of Texas. With cold air in place and a low pressure track well to the south, this system will make use of the significant amount of cold air in the eastern half of the country to produce a widespread snowmaker. Not everyone will see heavy snow out of this, but a lot of locations will pick up several inches of fresh powder late Thursday through Saturday morning. For us, we’re looking at a brief window of snow showers early Friday before the bulk of the action takes place to our east and to the southeast. We could have some slick roads for that Friday morning commute, otherwise this will be a big nothing-burger for us locally as we’ve chatted about this week.
