Happy weekend everyone! Enjoy the bright sunshine today, but it will be deceiving as temps will struggle to get into the 20s today. Clouds arrive late this evening into tonight with the approach of the well-advertised winter storm for the central Plains and Ohio Valley. Per our LIVE broadcast, we’re still thinking this storm goes south of the Region, but lake effect snow showers will likely develop Monday as this system swings east. These could potentially bring us some lighter accumulations locally Monday depending on where they set up. The big takeaway is that for those traveling south along I-65 or in and around the I-70 corridor, it will be treacherous later Sunday through early Monday with a significant snow and ice storm from central Indiana down towards Kentucky.
